ARDMORE, OK -- Just more than a week ago, we saw dozens of local athletes sign with the colleges of their dreams. On Thursday, at Plainview High School two more dreams came true.
Seniors Rebekah Hickman and Ryan Hicks are both heading north. Hickman will head to the University of Central Oklahoma, where she'll compete for the Broncho cross country team. Hicks will head to the capitol city and attend Oklahoma City University. He'll compete in both track and cross country.
Both campuses seemed to be the perfect fit for the two athletes. And they both say they couldn't have made it with out the help of their incredible coaches, including the legendary Jerry Naylor.
"I kind of kept my options open and whenever he wanted me to come visit, I felt like that's where I belonged," Hickman said.
"Coach Naylor, I mean he's one of the best coaches in the nation. The fact that I got to train with him, I feel really lucky. It definitely prepared me a lot," Hicks added.
