Biggest Loser - Day 3 - 10-12-11

Day 3... here we go!  Hasn't gotten any easier yet, that's for sure

Worked abs and legs today.  Gotta say... after the workout Monday, I could barely lift my arms over my head.  But I found a way and pushed through it.  One of these days, it won't be so tough. (Yeah, right.  Who am I kidding!)

Was in a rush to get out the door this morning, as I got to my workout later than expected because of the hustle of bussing my kids around to school (my oldest son plays football and usually goes earlier.  They went in late today.), and the workout took nearly an hour and a half.  Didn't have much time to prepare food for the day, but learned that you can still be good, and not prepare every single day.

I had some pork chops from last night, and a couple of eggs for my afternoon, but didn't have much for in the morning.  My trainer tells me the protein shakes are good for me and I can have one in the morning, even if I'm not strength training, which is good.  I find they help keep me full through the morning.

Like I said... I rushed out the door to work after the workout, and didn't have enough food in my lunch pail for the day...  Usually, when I don't have time, that curtails a trip to a convenience store or the local McDonald's before 10 or 11 AM...  Instead, I stopped by a grocery store, ran in, and got a couple of apples, and some other healthy options.  Took maybe 5 minutes longer to do this, but hey... I got what I needed to get through the day! 

I'm writing this because it's easy to say, "it's too hard to eat right"... or "I never have time to get stuff"... I have also noticed that some of the larger convenience stores in the area are carrying some healthier options as well... anything from yogurt to fruit!!

Enough rambling... Here's my meals for the day:

Breakfast - Oatmeal (1 cup)

After Workout - Two scoops protein, on scoop of Glutamine - Banana) Blended in ice

Mid Morning - 2 apples

Lunch - 2 pork chops

Mid afternoon - 2 hard boiled eggs

Dinner - Half of a Rotisserie Chicken - Mixed vegetables

I am also supposed to drink at least 5 liters of water a day... And that's tough!!!

P. S.  I have also found a way to update exactly what I'm eating and working out by an app called "my fitness ap".  It automatically updates to my KTEN fan page and my twitter.
