Cathy joined the KTEN news team in August, 2011.

She comes from South Carolina with a degree in Meteorology from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. Throughout the last 3 summers Cathy interned at a TV station in Myrtle Beach, SC where she gained valuable weather and television experience.  She also had the opportunity to be a student intern with the National Weather Service in Raleigh, NC gaining significant forecasting experience. Cathy was a devoted member to the NC State club gymnastics team throughout all four years of school. She's a huge fan of the sport and in her spare time you might find her judging gymnastics meets.

Cathy first came to know weather when she was just 6 months old and Hurricane Hugo tore through her home one street over from the beach in Surfside, SC.  She is a classic meteorologist who has been in love with the weather since she can remember and constantly thrives off the challenges of each day's forecast. Though she's a long way from home here in Texas, Cathy is very much excited to be in the Texoma region forecasting for this area.
