Lake Murray Fireworks Show Canceled

Posted:

LAKE MURRAY--Those who were looking forward a popular show at Lake Murray won't get to see bombs bursting in the air.

As of Sunday afternoon, state park officials have canceled Monday's fireworks show.

Though the fireworks permit for the Lake Murray show is still valid, park officials have called it off because of the continued dryness.

The Ardmore Tourism Authority agrees that this is the safest decision. Both organizations apologize for the inconvenience.
