Armed Man Robs Paris Valero Gas Station

Posted: Updated:

PARIS, TX--A suspect is on the run, after Paris Police say a man robbed a Valero Gas Station.

Police say just after 7:00 am Sunday, a man walked into the gas station on the Highway 286 loop with a gun.

They say he demanded cash from the store clerk--and a carton of cigarettes--then took off on foot.

"We'll he's looking at aggravated robbery charges right now--anytime you walk into a store--a situation like that--you're threatening somebody with a weapon and you get property from them, it'll be an armed robbery situation--so it's going to be aggravated robbery," Matt Birch said, Pairs Police Department Crime Prevention Officer.

No shots were fired and no injuries were reported. If caught, the suspect would face aggravated robbery charges.

The suspect was wearing a blue bandana over his face and a black felt cowboy hat. He was last seen in a tan jacket with a hood, and light or faded blue jeans. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paris Police department.
