Whitesboro Celebrates Peanut Festival

Posted:

WHITESBORO, TX--It's the 45th annual peanut festival. More than 200 vendors were dishing up food and showing crafts.

"The cars back in the car show that's pretty cool. There's some cool cars there," Markus Isakson said, Collinsville resident.

"I just like the people walking around the booths and we enjoy--the kids obviously enjoy the carnival. So yea, it's a lot of fun for the whole family," James Schmeidler said, Kemper martial artist.

"Seeing a lot of people I grew up with and enjoying the parade," Michael Lively said, vendor.

"I think the parade--laughs--it's very interesting, but this year there was a little parrot riding on a little bitty car. It was really cute," Doris Davis said, vendor.

"I live in San Marcos, and I go to all of the different fairs around town and around the state and one of my favorite things about the Peanut Festival is everyone has been so gracious and so helpful from the first time that we got here," Natalie Lacaze said, vendor.
