Candidates Speak at Public Forum

Posted:

ARDMORE, OK-- Local and state candidates, speaking out and locals looking for answers to help them decide. We're talking about the candidate forum in Ardmore. About a hundred or so people turned out for a  statewide candidate forum in ardmore, Monday night.

It featured the candidates answering written questions submitted in advance, as well as questions from the audience.

Both candidates for lieutenant governor took part in the forum.

We asked Democrat Kenneth Corn about his recent attacks on his opponent, Republican Todd Lamb, that he is out of touch with Oklahoma.

Corn said, "Their mindset is, what kind of jobs are we going to create for this state that helps this section of society. I think people in Oklahoma are focused on taking care of their families and that's the fundamental difference."

Lamb said, "I respond by just focusing on my agenda, what I want to do for Oklahoma not against Oklahoma or against anybody else. I can tell you what I want to do and what I stand for."

Along with the candidate forum, residents got a chance to register to vote.

Election day is November 2nd.
