Forum to Feature Local, Statewide Candidates

Posted: Updated:

ARDMORE,OK--Monday night, Oklahoma voters will get to hear from state and local candidates.

The Ardmore Chamber is hosting a free forum including candidates for lieutenant governor and state school superintendent--along with state Senate and House candidates.

The candidates for governor were scheduled to attend but, because of scheduling conflicts, had to cancel.

Still, Chamber officials say everyone in Ardmore should attend this event.

"I think we have some specific issues to our region of the state that we need to express and we need to learn [the candidates] views," said Chamber President Wes Stucky

"In addition to getting to know the candidates and see where they truly stand people will have an opportunity to register to vote. Its still not to late to register for the upcoming election. We'll have an opportunity for people to do that." said Chamber board member T.J Riley.

The candidate forum starts at six thirty p.m. at the Ardmore Convention Center.
