SULPHER,OK-- A part of Texoma history comes to life tonight with a Chickasaw Cultural Festival.

It happened today from four p.m. to eight p.m. at the new Chickasaw Cultural Event Center in Sulphur, Oklahoma.

The evening featured interactive attractions and children's activities--even cultural demonstrations like bow shooting, beading, and the traditional game of stickball.

"It's a little bit of a unique atmosphere all week long actually and kind of showcases the items and the people and the creative works that these people all did for many many years," said Sheila Brashier, Director of Special Services.

"The exhibits aren't like off limits behind glass there are many things that are designed for you to touch and that really sets us apart," said Dr. Amanda Cobb-Greetham, History and Culture Division Administrator.
