GRAYSON CO., TX -- The U.S. National Aerobatics Competition is going on right now. About a hundred pilots are taking to the skies at North Texas Regional Airport for a shot at representing the United States in the World Competition.

Groups from all over the country come to the airport for the competition. The Eagle Sport Aviation Club was created in 1999 in Daytona Beach, Florida. Group members say they started the group to help others discover the pleasures of flying who wouldn't be able to afford it otherwise.

Mikhael Ponsopres of Eagle Sport Aviation Club says, "We introduce them to aerobatics which is a completely different world, and gliding without an engine, with tail wheel skills. So it opens up their horizon to different things in aviation."   The competition wraps up Friday.
