MUSKOGEE, OK - A Durant man faces up to five years in prison after he pleaded guilty to mailing a threatening letter to an Oklahoma district judge.

U.S. Attorney Sheldon J. Sperling says 33-year-old Robbie Lynn Naramor pleaded guilty Friday to mailing a threatening communication. Naramor was accused of sending a threatening letter to Oklahoma District Judge Trace Sherill, who presided over Naramor's trial on domestic abuse charges.

The judge had sentenced Naramor to 90 days in jail and ordered a mental evaluation. According to federal prosecutors, Naramor sent a letter from jail threatening to kill the judge and the judge's family.

Naramor faces up to five years in prison, though sentencing guidelines suggest a 10- to 16-month sentence.
