Farmer's Market Stand Plans to be Open all Summer

Posted:

SHERMAN, TX--Despite the summer heat, Texomans are still stopping on the side of the road for farm-grown fresh vegetables.

Frank Cobb is a farmer in Kingston Oklahoma and has a vegetable stand up for six weeks in Sherman, Texas. His veggies are Texoma grown and he says despite the heat, Saturday morning has been one of his busiest.

"All of our vegetables here are grown without any commercial fertilizers, chemicals, herbicides, so it's all as organic as we can keep it," Cobb said. "So I recommend people to come out and try the organic vegetables."

Peppers, cucumbers and squash are just a few of the things that Cobb is selling.
He says that he plans on keeping his stand open all summer.

The stand is located at the Hwy. 56 and FM 1417 intersection in Sherman, TX
