Texomans Line Up For Latest Twilight Movie

Posted: Updated:

SHERMAN, TX -- The Twilight saga continues in Texoma Tuesday night with the premiere of the movie "Eclipse" at midnight. Fans started lining up around local theaters around seven o'clock in the morning. Deeda Payton visited the Cinemark Theater in Sherman.

Texomans of all ages lined up around seven o'clock in the morning to get a good seat for the midnight showing of Eclipse. It's the third movie in the Twilight saga. "Because I love Twilight," said fan, Morgan McClain.

"I have been here since 7:15 this morning. I was the first one here," said fan, Mike Dougan. Vampires and werewolves couldn't scare off this crowd, so why should a little rain? "I was here for the New Moon release and it's going to get long. It'll probably wrap around this theater," said fan, Tenise Gray.

Advance tickets went on sale last month at the Cinemark Theater in Sherman and a showing of the first two movies plus the premiere of Eclipse sold out the same week. "What do you like so much about Twilight? Uh Edward! he's like the perfect man. What's not to like," said Gray.

If you're a fan of Twilight, you know, there's an on-going rivalry between the character of Edward, the vampire, and Jacob, the werewolf, but in Texoma, Edward seems to be the definite fan favorite. "Team Edward," said McClain. No matter what team you're on, or age you are, it's never to late to get a little sci-fi fever for Twilight.
