From the Texas Department of Transportation:

Concrete Joint Repair on SH 91 in Grayson County

Texas Department of Transportation officials met Tuesday, June 3, 2010 with representatives of Winding Road Construction, Inc., of Big Fork, Minnesota in a pre-construction meeting devoted to traffic safety and construction procedures to be used during the Concrete Joint Repair on SH 91 in Grayson County. The project limits of work will be between US 75 and US 82.

The work to be done will consist of full depth repair of existing concrete slabs at various locations on SH 91 between US 75 and US 82.

The Contractor was originally granted 15 working days to complete this $149,148.00 project. Time may be extended if field conditions warrant the need for additional work to ensure a safer road for the traveling public. The Contractor began setting barricades and signs on Tuesday, June 8, 2010. The contract is anticipated to be complete by August 31, 2010.

The traveling public is requested to observe signs and to be aware of lane closures and potential temporary detours. Caution and reduced speed is imperative when approaching these work zones due to the magnitude of the volume of traffic. Please remember that it is against the law to cut across on to unpaved surfaces and that traffic fines double in work zones when workers are present.
