SHERMAN, TX -- Criminal charges continue to pile up for one Sherman man. David Boyd Junior faces capitol murder charges in the shooting death of Alan Gravette.

On May 21st, Gravette was found dead in the front passenger seat of his vehicle near the intersection of First and Rosedale Street in Sherman. Police say he had a gunshot wound to the head and neck. A medical examiner later ruled the cause of death as homicide and detectives began their investigation. "We've received tons of information from different sources. As far as motives, we haven't singled out one motive. We do know Mr. Boyd is responsible for Mr. Gravette's death and that's the information we will release at this time," said Detective Riley Day of the Sherman Police Department.

David Glenn Boyd Junior of Sherman is being held in the Grayson County Jail on a $1 million bond.

The sheriff's department says he was booked into the jail over a week ago for six other charges that include aggravated assault, drug possession and endangering a child.
