DURANT, OK -- Durant's Magnolia festival opens Friday. This is the fourteenth year for the city's biggest festival.
It opens Friday at noon with a carnival complete with a ferris wheel and all sorts of rides, games and vendors. organizers say they expect this year to be the biggest one yet! "It's always been big and we're maxed out on vendors this year and so yesterday we had five spaces left and they didn't have electricity and we feel like we'll fill those at the rate we've been going, so that makes a good festival," said Donna Dow with Durant Main Street. In addition to the carnival, there will also be an art show featuring local artists.
The whole festival opens Friday at noon and ends Saturday night at midnight.
