Denison Art & Wine Hope to Raise Funds to Improve Downtown

Posted: Updated:

DENISON, TX--Denison is working to improve its downtown atmosphere; it's a project they have been working on for more than a year.  Now, they are hoping this year's annual Wine and Art Renaissance will bring in the funds to complete a few of their projects.

The Renaissance will have wine, local artists, dancing and food.  The event is hoping to raise around $15,000 but that is only half the money they need to complete the projected improvements.

The new look is hoping to bring in more people to downtown Denison as well as create an exciting atmosphere for those already living in the area.

The Denison Art and Wine Renaissance will be held May 1st in the Katy Depot in Denison.  The sponsors reception will begin at 6 p.m. and last until 7:30 p.m.  The official event will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are available at: Denison Chamber of Commerce or City Hall or by calling 903-464-4452.
