Overnight Fire Destroys Ardmore Business

Posted: Updated:

ARDMORE, OK - An overnight fire in Ardmore destroyed a local business. Meredith Saldana was there as the fire department continued their investigation and has more on this story.

The fire started Monday night around 10:30 PM.

But the fire department says they had to go back out to the scene Tuesday, to continue investigating.

The fire happened at Yellow Rose Flowers and Gifts on 12 Street in Ardmore.

The fire department says the building was built back in the 40's or 50's, but they're still not sure whether the age of the building or electrical wiring had anything to do with the fire.

The fire department does believe the building is a total loss but says it was smoke that caused most of the damage.

Firefighter Darin Butler says, "It's got the walls, the ceiling, all the items inside. It's penetrated well deep in the structure."

The fire department is still investigating the cause of this fire.

They did say the business owners, did have insurance.
