1st Day of H1N1 Clinic in Grayson County

SHERMAN, TX -- H1N1 vaccines are given out in Grayson County. Deeda Payton reports on the health department's first public clinic for target groups.

The health department is providing injectable H1N1 vaccines to at-risk groups. That means pregnant women, certain health care providers, children 6-months to four years old and those five to 18 years old with underlying health conditions. they started out their clinic with 280 doses at their Sherman location and 280 doses at their Denison location.

The clinic will continue on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. as long as supplies last. There is no cost for the vaccine.

Amanda Ortez says the health department will look into broadening those eligible for the vaccine early Tuesday morning. We'll keep you posted if their target groups change or expand.
