High Water Rescue

Texoma woke up to early morning storms with heavy rain.  As rain pounded our area, many roads in North Texas began to flood causing one high water rescue in Grayson County.

A couple attempted to cross the flooded intersection of Lawrence and Wright in Grayson County, but the water was higher than the couple anticipated and swept their car away, almost completely submerging it under water.  Luckily, the couple made it out safely.  Police, fire rescue and tow trucks responded to the scene, as of now they have decided to leave the vehicle until the waters recede.

If you see water on the roads, never test the depth.  Always remember the line "Turn around, Don't Drown" to make sure you and your family stay safe every time.
