Update: More Water Troubles For Calera

Posted:

CALERA, OK -- Heavy overnight rains caused problems for the city of Calera Sunday.

Officials say heavy rains overnight may have caused a water main break, hampering water service to hundreds of homes on the east and south side of town.

At 2:30pm, officials said the water problem was fixed and residents should have access to water, but may experience low water pressure. But around 8 o'clock another water main broke at 1st Street and Wilson, which caused more residents to be without water service. City crews are working on repairing the problem.

Despite the issue, if you are receiving water, city officials say it is safe to drink.
