ARDMORE, OK - Police Chief David Leonardo is leaving the Ardmore Police Department. City Manager, Dan Parrott, says he turned in this letter today indicating that he will be taking his retirement in March. Until then, Parrott says, he will be on administrative leave starting at five o'clock today. Parrott says he has to be available for court mediation cases, lawsuits, etc that will require his presence until March.

Parrott has also issued this statement:
"Since I've known him, he's honest, he has integrity, and he has common sense. I am disappointed, but this is the way he has decided to go and I can only offer him best wishes."
