Grayson Co. Family Loses Home In Fire

Posted:

A Grayson County family is without a home after a fire tore through their house.

It happened off Old Ida Road, outside Whitewright Saturday. The family believes the fire started in the kitchen and quickly spread through their mobile home. They were outside at the time, so they walked away unharmed. When crews arrived the home was fully engulfed.

"Well I'm going to have to rebuild," said Wesley Howard, the homeowner. I mean I've been here since '99. I'm not going to walk off. I got too much land here so either we rebuild or put another one here and do something."

Red Cross is now assisting the family.
