No Break For Local Emergency Crews

More than half-a-million people are expected to hit the waters of Lake Texoma over the 4th of July weekend. That's a big concern for local law enforcement and with good reason. Saturday emergency crews were busy on both sides of the lake.

Careflight was called to Cedar Bayou Marina around 7 p.m. Saturday. That's west of the Willis bridge. A boat accident in that area caused at least one person to be flown to Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

Paramedics also had to help boaters in that same area, near Walnut Creek Marina, earlier in the day after someone was injured on the water.

Agencies across the region began boosting patrol on Friday, adding more boats and enforcing the "no refusal" policy for boat operators.  On Friday night, Texas authorities made at least 3 arrests on the water.
