[10/31/2008 04:48, TONYW, 110] Walden #203 On 10/31/2008 at approximately 0308 hours, I, Officer Tony Walden #203 was conducting a routine security check in the 2300 block of West Taylor Street.  He observed two suspicious males walking through the parking lot and walk beside a apartment building.  While attempting to locate the males, he noticed three bicycles and a hand bag between apartment buildings.  Inside the hand bag was a cd player that appeared to have been stolen from a vehicle.  The suspects were not located and I was unable to find a vehicle the cd player was stolen from.  The bicycles and hand bag were seized and placed into evidence at the Sherman Police Department. I arrived at 1101 hours.  I observed an adult male with multiple large cuts on his arm.  The subject cut himself multiple times with a kitchen knife attempting to kill himself.  The subject also took an unknown amount of prescription medication. The subject was transported to the hospital where he was admitted for overnight observation.  The subject will be transported to BHC when he is released from the hospital.

Accident Involving Damage To Vehicle >=$200 [11/01/2008 11:30, BRIANN, 100]   On Saturday, November 1st, 2008, I was dispatched to FM 1417 and Hwy 75 in reference to an accident.  Upon arrival, and speaking to one of the drivers involved, I learned that the driver of the other vehicle had left the scene, but left his vehicle there.  The driver who remained told me he was westbound on 1417, and the other vehicle was approaching 1417 (southbound) on the west control road.  The other vehicle failed to yield right-of-way while turning right on red from the control road, and was struck in the right rear.  The driver who remained at the scene had minor damage to the front end of his vehicle; the other vehicle had significantly more damage to the right rear.  The driver of the vehicle that failed to yield right-of-way, a hispanic male, left the scene without leaving the required information.  Reports were completed for the traffic accident, as well as failing to leave the requisite information.

[11/01/2008 15:35, BRIANN, 100]   On Saturday, November 1st, 2008, I was advised to meet a complainant in the lobby of the Police Dept in reference to stalking.  Upon arrival, I spoke to the complainant, a young w/f, who told me she believed she was being stalked by her estranged father whom she had not seen since she was a little girl.  While in Walmart on Wednesday, October 29th, a man commented to her that she looked like his daughter, and was about the same age.  He told her his name was Larry, her father`s name.  The w/f immediately left the store, and on her way out, she heard a man`s voice call her name.  On the way home she noticed a red van behind her.  Fearing she was being followed by the man from Walmart, she drove around town to make sure.  For the better part of an hour the red van followed her.  She eventually went home, and shortly after arriving, she saw a red van in the parking lot.  Then, two days later, she found a note on her front door which read, "I`m watching you."  The w/f felt she had cause for concern because her father had made threats to her in the past.  A report was completed for Stalking.
