Updated:

From news release:

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK - October 5, 2006 - Selecting the Power Play option proved to be lucky again for one Oklahoman as a ticket sold for Wednesday night's Powerball drawing is worth $1 million. The winning ticket was sold at Handy Stop at 1000 North Main Street in McAlester.

This is the second time that an Oklahoman has selected the Power Play option and multiplied their "Match 5" winnings to $1 million.

The winning numbers for the October 4 drawing were 3-7-27-39-40 with a Powerball of 8. The Power Play multiplier was 5. The ticket was claimed this morning at the Oklahoma Lottery Commission offices in Oklahoma City by Paula Laird and Alton Cothran of McAlester.

As there was no jackpot winner in Wednesday's drawing; the jackpot for Saturday night's drawing is now $20 million, a $9.7 million cash value.

All profits from the Oklahoma Lottery are used to support improvements and enhancements for educational purposes and programs at all levels - from pre-kindergarten to higher education.
