KTEN News Today airs from 5:00am until 7:00am every weekday on KTEN-TV (analog Channel 10) and KTEN-DT (digital Channel 10.1).

KTEN News Today is anchored by Sterling Riggs.

Sterling joins the KTEN news team from the sunny white beaches of Destin, Florida.  After four years working in the corporate world as COO of a local development company, Sterling decided to get back in the business.

Weather forecasting is provided by SkyAlert10 Meteorologist Hallie Shulman joined the KTEN SkyAlert10 weather team in 2009.

KTEN News Today is a two-hour newscast, produced on a 30-minute "wheel," so that viewers get a sampling of the day's top stories and a full weather forecast every half-hour, with weather every ten minutes.

On Wednesday, January, 30, 2008, The Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters named KTEN News Today Winner of the 2007 OAB Non-Metro TV Newscast Award.

Entries were judged by a committee of out-of-state professionals from the field of broadcasting and considered overall excellence in creativity, originality, technical production and effectiveness.

In January 2006, KTEN News Today garnered the same award, "Winner of the 2005 Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters Non-Metro Television Newscast Award." Read more about the distinction by clicking here.
