TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Glory Johnson scored 14 of her 15 points in the second half and had 11 rebounds to help the Tulsa Shock beat the Chicaog Sky 79-69 on Sunday.

It was just just Tulsa's second win in its last nine games.

Unable to find its offensive rhythm for most of the first three quarters, Tulsa finally found its stride finishing the third with an 11-2 run. Odyssey Sims tied the game 56-56 with a driving layup with 18.8 seconds left in the period.

Through the game's first 27 minutes, Tulsa had just 11 field goals and four assists. The Shock made 13 field goals on 11 assists over the game's final 13 minutes.

Allie Quigley and Epiphanny Prince each scored 14 points for the Sky, who lost for the seventh time in their last nine games

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - John Jaso drove in three runs, helping Scott Kazmir and the Oakland Athletics beat the Texas Rangers 9-3 Sunday night.

Jaso had a run-scoring single during Oakland's five-run second inning and added a two-run double in the fifth.

The Athletics' first three batters - Jaso, Stephen Vogt and Yoenis Cespedes - each had a double and a single, and Josh Reddick added three singles.

Kazmir moved into a tie for the American League lead while allowing seven hits in five innings. He walked two and struck out two.

Adam Rosales had a two-run homer in the second, and Adrian Beltre added a solo shot off reliever Evan Scribner in the eighth.

COWBOYS-BRYANT'S RISE

Bryant undoubtedly tops Dallas receiver group now

OXNARD, Calif. (AP) - Dez Bryant suddenly finds himself as one of the oldest Dallas receivers, and by far the most accomplished.

The 25-year-old is going into the final season of his rookie contract with the potential of a big pay day looming. But his answers to that question sound more like a leader than the troubled rookie who didn't pay his jewelry bills four years ago.

Bryant says he "can't be selfish" by worrying about a new contract. The player who refused to carry Roy Williams' shoulder pads in his first training camp with the Cowboys says there won't be any rookie hazing of receivers in California.

With 34 touchdowns in three seasons, Bryant is easily the most dangerous target for Tony Romo.
