CORUM, Okla. (AP) - Authorities say the body of a 67-year-old Stephens County man who was reported missing over the weekend has been recovered near Corum.
Law enforcement officers found Dennis Mitchell shortly after resuming a search Sunday morning of the area around his home on Walter Creek.
Stephens County Sheriff Wayne McKinney says his office was notified about 11 p.m. Saturday that Mitchell was missing and the body was discovered on a beach in an inlet of Waurika Lake at the creek.
McKinney says the last time anyone saw Mitchell was on July 20.
The sheriff says Mitchell's boat had been having problems and officers thought that he may had a heart attack and drowned while working on it.
The state Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy and review of Mitchell's death.
