CONNERVILLE, Okla. (AP) - A 41-year-old Ada man has died after his pickup ran off U.S. Highway 377 and hit a concrete abutment.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says James Philip Leon's vehicle was located by aircraft about 11:30 a.m. Monday about five miles north of Connerville in Pontotoc County. Troopers think the accident occurred about 12:45 a.m. on Saturday.
Troopers say Leon's vehicle ran off the right side of the road, traveled back across the road and ran off the left side. The pickup then again went across the road and off the right side, where it went off the edge of a creek bank and hit the concrete abutment.
Troopers think Leon apparently was sleepy while driving.
