Daily Report

April 13th 2009

1. Officers were dispatched to a southside convenience store in reference to a unattended 4-year old child. The child had been left alone at a nearby apartment complex. The child walked approximately two blocks then crossed a busy four lane highway. The mother was located and reunited with her child. The matter was turned over to CPS.

2. Officers took a Burglary report in the area of Albert Dr. The 57-year old victim advised that someone had entered her residence through a window and stolen misc. soft drinks from her refrigerator.

3. Officers took a report concerning Domestic A&B in the Presence of a Child in the 300 block of E. Brown St. The 25-year old male victim advi sed that he had been returning his child to her 24-year old mother when the woman started hitting him with a plastic bottle. The matter will be turned over to the D.A.'s Office for review.

4. Officers took a report concerning the theft of a 5 gallon propane tank.

5. Officers arrested a 25-year old Ft. Towson man at an eastside retail store for shoplifting a package of lithium batteries.

6. Officers took an Assault report at a southside apartment complex. The 32-year old female vicitm alleged that a 42-year old female had attacked her. Both  females related conflicting stories to officers. The matter will be turned over to the D.A.'s Office for review.

7. Officers arrested a 45-year old Hugo woman in the area of 10th and Kirk St. for Driving Under the Influence, Failure to Have Driver License in Immediate Possession and Failure to Remain Right on Road of Sufficient Width.

8. Officers arrested a 28-year old Hugo man in the area of Main and S. 4th St. for Driving Under the Influence, Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid Driver License, Failure to Comply with Compulsory Insurance Law and Defective Equipment.
