- PUBLIC INTOXICATION/DRUG ARREST
On 03-13-09 at about 1640 hours I (Ptl. Justin Blackshear) was assisting Ptl. Wesley Crank with a call at 1231 N. Washington Ave. (Nichol's Dollar Saver) in reference to someone drinking alcohol in the parking lot
During the investigation, I came into contact with Denny Junior Morris. I could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage upon his breath and person I administered SFST and observed 6 clues on his eyes during HGN, 6 clues during the Walk and Turn, and 3 clues on the One Let Stand test. I placed Mr. Morris in double locked handcuffs behind his back and searched him for weapons and contraband. I located a small plastic bag with a green leafy substance in his left front pocket on his pants. Mr. Morris stated, "I was holding that weed for my friend". I also located a small white plastic bottle in his front left pocket on his shirt and found a small amount of green leafy substance inside the bottle. Mr. Morris dropped his head and stated, "That's my weed". I also found a blue prescription bottle in Mr. Morris' front right pocket with his name on it for 1 mg Alprazolam. Inside the bottle I located 1 blue pill (Alprazolam), 1 large oval pill (Acetaminophen-hydrocodone), and 2 small round white pills (Cyclobenzaprine). These items were placed into evidence. I placed Mr. Morris into the back seat of my patrol vehicle and transported him to the Bryan County Jail.
- STOLEN VEHICLE
On 3/14/2009 at 1037 I, LT J. Sebourn, was dispatched to 1000 block of Chuckwa for a stolen vehicle report. Upon my arrival I talked to Mandi Bridges who told me her car had been stolen sometime from when she parked it about 2330 on the 13th and when she went to get in it about 0930 on the 14th. The car was a Blue 1994 Pontiac Sunbird four door. The car was parked on the west side of the apartments. The car was not locked and the keys were left in the driver door pocket. No glass or any evidence was found at the scene. Mandi Bridges said she did not hear or see anything during that time.
