Winstar Pro-Am Tournament Benefits Chickasaw Nation Boys and Girls Clubs

The 2009 Winstar World Casino Golf Championship Pro-Am tournament kicked off at 9 am Tuesday. There were 17 teams on the course all raising money for the Chickasaw Nation Boys and Girls Club. KTEN's Meredith Saldana has more.

Sherman Donors Give Caps & Gowns

Sherman ISD sent e-mails to parents of seniors at the high school. They were asking for caps and gowns worn by any older children. So far, they've received ten gowns, several caps, offers of free tassels and discounts on dry cleaning.

TX Gov. Names Austin College Professor Texas State Historian

Gov. Rick Perry appointed Light Cummins, Austin College Guy M. Bryan, Jr., Chair of American History, as Texas State Historian on May 12. Cummins was recommended by the Texas Historical Commission and the Texas State Historical Association.

Ray and Lillie Bell (Stone) Agnew celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary Saturday in Bridgeton, Missouri. The Agnews grew up in Sherman and were married May 15, 1934, in Sherman, Texas.
